About Our Instructors

JACQUELINE MARTIN, Studio Director, is a 2003 graduate of University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a Bachelor of Music/Music Education.  She trained under Lisa Tenczar, Janice Zawodny, Jeannette Neill and Lillian Carter.  She has performed for Jeanette Neill’s Winter Repertory show, Greenglass Dance Theater Company, SRO Dance Troupe, and many other productions, as well as coaching competitive dancers for DancEnergy in Chelmsford.  Jackie joined our studio in September 2004, teaching classes in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and modern.

KELLY CARPENTIER, Assisting Instructor, has years of local training at the Dance Center Unlimited, Donna Miceli Dance Center, Suzie Michaud's, and most recently, Dean College. She has performed in productions of The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella, as well as dancing in Disney World, New York City, and several local performances. Kelly has years of experience on the competitive stage, as well as extensive training in dance pedagogy. Kelly is back this year teaching advanced tap!

DANA FITCHETT, Assisting Instructor, is an artist in residence at Concord Academy, teaching hip hop and modern dance.   She has her degree in Urban Studies from Vassar College, and works with INTENCITY Entertainment out of Cambridge, MA.   She is joining ABDC as our advanced hip hop teacher!

JENNIFER LEWIS, Assisting Instructor, graduated from Dean College with an Associates in Arts in Dance in 2002.  While at Dean she studied Vagnova Ballet and Pointe, Tap, Jazz and the Modern techniques of Horton, Dunham, Graham and Limon.  She participated on the Dean College dance team, the Dean College Modern Dance Company, and performed in and choreographed for numerous shows.  She received much of her early training at the Donna Micelli Dance Center.  Jennifer also teaches dance at numerous other studios in the Greater Boston area.

 

 

 

 

 

JENNIFER MICARELLI-WEBB, Assisting Instructor, is excited to be returning to the studio to teach advanced ballet and pointe.  She received her Masters in Theatre Education from Emerson College in 2003, and has been a drama/dance teacher for the Shrewsbury Public Schools for the past two years.  Jennifer has directed, choreographed, and performed in numerous shows in and around the Boston area.  Her most recent work has included "Beauty and the Beast," "Good News," "West Side Story," and "Bye Bye Birdie." 

MELANIE NAJARIAN, Assisting Instructor, returned to our studio in fall 2005 after receiving an Associate of Arts in Dance at Dean College.  Melanie also holds a BA in Music from Clark University.  While at Clark, Melanie danced with and Co-directed the Variant Dance Troupe.   Melanie has also been an Assistant teacher at the Lexington Montessori School and an Infant Teacher at Another Place to Grow. Prior to college, Melanie studied at the former Belmont School of Ballet.  Melanie currently studies at the Boston Ballet.

EDEN ROESSEL, Assisting Instructor, is a recent graduate of Skidmore College, and an ABDC alum!   She has studied with the Martha Graham Dance Company, and interned with the  National Dance Education Organization.  She is returning to her hometown of Acton this year with her degree in dance, and we are thrilled to have her join our studio staff.

JESSICA LUDLUM WRIGHT, Assisting Instructor, received her dance degree from Mount Holyoke College, and has also studied at Boston Conservatory's Summer Session and Ballet Arts by Delia Foley.  She has taught at Nadine's Dance Center in Gloucester, and Broadway Bound Dance Center in Natick.  Jessica joins us this year teaching Intermediate and Advanced ballet, pointe, and modern.
