RECITAL

Date:  Saturday, May 15th. 2010

WHERE:  Acton-Boxborough Regional High School Auditorium

TIMES:     10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m.

Children must report to the cafeteria NO LATER THAN 15 minutes before showtime.  Audience may begin seating 30 minutes before showtime.

Parents of graduating seniors may begin seating 40 minutes before showtime.

OTHER:

1.  Dancers must arrive dressed in costume.  Dancers in more than one class should wear the costume for their first dance, and bring the additional costumes to the cafeteria for changing.  Sr. Company dancers ONLY will use the PC Basement.  (NO DANCERS IN THE AUDITORIUM!)

2.  Hair must be worn neatly, preferably in a bun.  Use gel to keep wisps in control.

3.  All jazz dancers wear black jazz shoes.  All tap dancers wear black tap shoes. Ballet dancers wear pink shoes.  All hip hop dancers wear black hip hop sneakers.

4.  Please be sure that ballet shoe ties are tucked in, that tap shoes are securely tied (I suggest replacing ties with black elastic) and that straps on costumes are properly fastened.

5.  Make-up for recital night is important.  Dancers should wear eye shadow, rouge and lipstick, slightly heavier than would be customary for evening wear.

6.  If your child has a quick costume change, I highly recommend purchasing a nude colored camisole leotard (available at Danstuff or Damien's Dancewear) to wear under all costumes.  This way, your child can change ANYWHERE modestly!

7.  Younger children should bring crayons and coloring books or other quiet (not messy!)  activities to keep them occupied during other performances. Please do  not pick up children until after the Finale!  It makes it extremely difficult for our backstage help to keep track of how many little ones they are supervising!
