Director’s Message

I am absolutely honored to begin the 2011–2012 dance year as director of Acton-Boxborough Dance Center. ABDC was a second home to me while growing up — a place where I was able to be myself, feel unafraid to make mistakes, and learn in a caring and supportive environment. As the daughter of ABDC's founder, Melinda Samperi, I hope to bring to the studio some of her energy and passion, and intend to continue cultivating the positive atmosphere I was so lucky to experience.

I would especially like to thank Jackie Martin SooHoo for keeping my mother’s ABDC dream alive. For the past five years, she has been an invaluable asset to my family and allowed the studio to continue to be a space for children to enjoy the ABDC dance experience.
